Nigerian fast-food chain Chicken Republic has teamed up with food delivery startup Chowdeck to provide meal delivery services in the cities of Lagos and Ibadan.

Chicken Republic was founded in Lagos in 2004 and has 200 locations across Nigeria and Ghana.

Chowdeck, operating since October 2021, already manages logistics for Chicken Republic. Chowdeck enables customers to place meal orders from a range of restaurants.

The latest agreement further bolsters the partnership between the two.

Chowdeck co-founder and CEO Femi Aluko said: “This collaboration underscores our commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient and convenient services.

“Combining our fast-growing delivery network with Chicken Republic’s exceptional offerings, we aim to enhance the customer experience and bring happiness to more individuals across Lagos and Ibadan.”

With Chowdeck’s advanced logistics and technology, customers in Lagos and Ibadan can anticipate reduced delivery costs.

The partnership will include regular in-app special discounts and the opportunity to earn Chowscore points through Chowdeck’s loyalty programme, providing additional benefits and rewards for loyal customers.

Chicken Republic is owned by Food Concepts, a company that focuses on quick-service restaurants (QSRs) and also owns PieXpress, Butterfield, Yum Yum and The Chop Box.

In August 2023, Chicken Republic expanded its collaboration with the online food delivery company Glovo.
