US-based restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick is set to further expand its network in Alabama by opening a new outlet in Birmingham.

Located at 626 Fieldstown Road in Gardendale, the new restaurant will commence operations on 19 December 2023.

The new Birmingham location will have a drive-thru facility.

The restaurant chain’s offerings include a wide range of chicken salad flavours, side salads, gourmet soups, sandwiches and desserts.

Chicken Salad Chick CEO Scott Deviney stated: “Chicken Salad Chick is grateful to have such loyal guests throughout the Birmingham area who have supported our restaurants over the past nine years.

“While our company has now expanded to serve 18 states, we are excited to also continue our growth where it all started in Alabama and within a close-knit community like Gardendale.

“We have many fans here already who are committed to our made-from-scratch chicken salad, and we can't wait to welcome them through our doors.”

As part of its opening celebrations, the first guest in line on 19 December will receive one large Quick Chick serving of chicken salad per week for a year, while the next 99 guests in the queue will receive one large Quick Chick per month for a year.

Founded in Auburn, the restaurant chain first expanded to Birmingham in 2014.

Chicken Salad Chick currently has five locations across the metro area in Hoover, Trussville, Lee Branch and Homewood.

Earlier this month, the chain announced the opening of a new restaurant in Norfolk, Virginia.

Located at 1200 W 26th Street between Ghent and the Old Dominion University, the location features a large outdoor patio.

Chicken Salad Chick’s seventh location in the state of Virginia was its Norfolk-Railyard venue, owned and operated by franchisees Melissa Holt and Chris Carnes in partnership with Carmel Chick.
