US-based fast-casual chicken salad restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick has opened a new location in Chesapeake, Virginia.  

The new outlet, situated at 733 Eden Way N in Greenbrier Towne Place, is its eighth establishment in the state.  

At its launch on 29 January 2025, the first 100 guests will have the opportunity to win free chicken salad for a year. The opening celebrations include several specials and giveaways between 29 January to 1 February.   

The first guest will be awarded a large Quick Chick of chicken salad weekly for a year and the following 99 guests will receive the same prize monthly. 

Subsequent days offer a free Chicken Salad Chick picnic blanket for the first fifty guests buying a Chick Trio on 30 January, a tote bag for early purchasers on 31 January and a free 20oz tumbler for the first 50 guests on 1 February. 

Franchise owners Chris Carnes and Melissa Holt are opening the new outlet following their Norfolk-Railyard restaurant's successful launch in 2023.  

Holt said: "We're thrilled to bring Chicken Salad Chick to my hometown of Chesapeake this winter.  

"It's an honour to share the mission of Chicken Salad Chick here in Virginia while offering the best chicken salad on the market. Chris and I are dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences for our new friends and neighbours, and we look forward to building lasting community connections through the joy of great food." 

Chicken Salad Chick offers chicken salad flavours, fresh side salads, gourmet soups, signature sandwiches and desserts.  

The venue features indoor and outdoor dining spaces, take-out services, third-party delivery options and catering. 

In line with the brand's community support ethos,the Chesapeake restaurant benefits the Chas Foundation, which supports individuals with mental illness and their families.
