American fast-casual restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick is set to open a new location in Columbia, South Carolina, on 27 February 2024.

To be located at 4840 Forest Drive in the Trenholm Plaza shopping centre, it will be the third location in the market for owners Julie Beville and Michelle Singleton of Sing Bev Hospitality.

The opening event will include a series of specials and giveaways.

On opening day, the first guest will win a large Quick Chick of chicken salad weekly for a year, while the subsequent 99 guests will receive the same monthly.

Julie Beville said: “Our team is thrilled to be opening a new Chicken Salad Chick on the east side of Columbia, and specifically in Trenholm Plaza. Guests at our Lexington and Irmo restaurants have been clamouring for a location on this side of town, closer to Downtown and the university.

“We have looked at numerous opportunities over the years and had our eyes on Trenholm Plaza for a long time. We are so glad we are finally able to expand into such a great lifestyle centre alongside many wonderful shops and restaurants.”

Sing Bev Hospitality has been expanding its Chicken Salad Chick portfolio since opening its first location in Greenville, South Carolina, in 2013.

It has been bolstering its presence in the Carolinas over the past decade, with 18 locations now under its management.

In January 2024, Chicken Salad Chick unveiled plans for a significant Texas expansion with the signing of four new multi-unit franchise agreements.

The agreements will introduce 21 new restaurants to the state in the five years up to 2028.

The company also recently enhanced its footprint in the US state of Alabama with the inauguration of a new outlet in Phenix City.

The latest venue is located at 3616 US Highway 431 and features a drive-thru service.
