Restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick is set to open a new location in Norfolk, Virginia, on 5 December 2023.

Located at 1200 W 26th Street between Ghent and Old Dominion University, the new location features a large outdoor patio.

The Norfolk-Railyard venue will be Chicken Salad Chick’s seventh location in the state of Virginia.

The new venue will be owned and operated by franchisees Melissa Holt and Chris Carnes in a new partnership with Carmel Chick.

Holt opened her first location in Hampton in 2021, while Carnes opened his in Fayetteville, North Carolina, in 2022.

Holt said: “It's a privilege to spread the mission of Chicken Salad Chick here in Norfolk, and I feel truly grateful for the opportunity to bring the best chicken salad to even more people throughout Virginia.

“We're excited to bring the delicious flavours that Chicken Salad Chick has become known for in Hampton to the other side of the water.

“Our commitment to serving exceptional food with a side of Southern hospitality is at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to creating memorable dining experiences for our new friends and neighbours in Norfolk.”

As part of its opening celebrations, the first 100 guests that morning will win free chicken salad for a year.

Established in 2008, Chicken Salad Chick offerings include original chicken salad flavours, fresh side salads, gourmet soups, signature sandwiches and delicious desserts.

The restaurant chain operates more than 240 venues located across 18 states in the US.

In May 2023, Chicken Salad Chick entered an eight-unit agreement to open new locations across Arlington and Fairfax Counties in Virginia over the next five years.

The deal increases the brand’s current state-wide reach, and the first of these locations will be opened in the first quarter of 2024.
