Chicken Salad Chick is set to enhance its footprint in the US state of Alabama with the inauguration of a new outlet in Phenix City on 6 February 2024.

The latest addition to the Chicken Salad Chick’s network will be located at 3616 US Highway 431 and will feature a drive-through service.

As part of the opening celebrations, the company will offer the first one hundred guests free chicken salad for a year.

The expansion is spearheaded by franchising group SureChick.

SureChick operates a total of ten locations, including those in the Columbus, Georgia area on Airport Road and in Midland.

David Harris, Ken Greene, Rand Jones and Bart Middlebrooks of SureChick launched their first Chicken Salad Chick in 2012 on Airport Road in Columbus.

Their expansion has since extended to seven additional locations across Alabama and Kentucky.

Laney Brittingham, who has a decade of experience managing Chicken Salad Chick restaurants, will oversee operations at the new Phenix City venue.

Brittingham joined the SureChick team two years ago and has considerable operational expertise.

Brittingham said: “Over the past 11 years of spreading joy, enriching lives and serving others in the Columbus market, our restaurant teams have consistently heard from guests asking us to bring Chicken Salad Chick to Phenix City.

“The time is finally here, and we appreciate the support of this fantastic community in helping to make it happen.

“We are thrilled to open this convenient location along Highway 280 and bring our made-from-scratch chicken salad to our regulars, new friends and travellers through the area.”

This month, Chicken Salad Chick unveiled its Texas expansion plans with the signing of four new multi-unit franchise agreements.

The agreements will introduce 21 new restaurants to the state in the five years up to 2028.
