Fast-casual restaurant chain Chicken Salad Chick has announced the opening of a new outlet in the US state of Maryland on 11 February 2025.
The new restaurant will be situated in the Westminster station shopping centre at 255 Baltimore Boulevard Suite 7.
The opening will expand the brand’s footprint to 21 US states.
The menu at the Westminster store will feature more than a dozen made-from-scratch chicken salad varieties, fresh side salads, gourmet soups, signature sandwiches and desserts.
The venue will provide in-restaurant seating, take-out, third-party delivery services and catering.
Chicken Salad Chick president and CEO Scott Deviney stated: “We're thrilled to bring Chicken Salad Chick to Maryland - our 21st state of operation.
“Westminster offers incredible business potential, and Westminster station's mix of franchise concepts makes it the perfect home for our brand. We're confident our inviting atmosphere and flavourful menu will resonate with the local community.”
The chain will offer free chicken salad for a year to the first 100 guests on opening day.
Franchise owner Paul Weitz will own and operate the Westminster outlet.
Weitz said: “I'm excited to bring the first Chicken Salad Chick restaurant to Maryland, right here in Westminster.”
Weitz, who also operates Jersey Mike's Subs shops, plans to bring the same focus on building a service-first culture to the team at Chicken Salad Chick.
In January 2025, Chicken Salad Chick announced the opening of a new outlet in Lakeland’s South shopping centre at 5216 S Florida Avenue in Florida.
