Chipotle Mexican Grill has unveiled a new menu innovation, Chipotle Honey Chicken, which will be available for a limited period across outlets in North America and Europe.

The new offering combines freshly grilled chicken seasoned with Mexican spices and a marinade of smoked chipotle peppers with a touch of honey.

Rewards members of Chipotle can enjoy exclusive early access through the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com and Chipotle.ca.

From 7 March 2025, customers in the US, Canada and the UK will find the new option in all restaurant and digital orders.

The rollout will extend to France and Germany from 12 March.

According to the National Restaurant Association's "What's Hot 2025 Culinary Forecast," hot honey is the leading flavour trend of 2025.

Chipotle Honey Chicken has already exceeded testing expectations in Nashville, Tennessee, Sacramento and California.

Chipotle Mexican Grill chief brand officer Chris Brandt stated: "Chipotle Honey Chicken was our top performing limited-time offer in test markets and we're excited for guests to taste this bold new protein with their go-to order. The delicate balance of heat and a touch of sweetness pairs perfectly with our real ingredients prepared fresh every day."

Chipotle is also featuring the Most Popular Chipotle Honey Chicken Bowl on its app.

The dish comprises Chipotle Honey Chicken with white rice, black beans, fajita veggies, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, cheese and lettuce.

Chipotle is launching a hiring campaign to staff its 3,700+ restaurants for its "burrito season" from March to May 2025.

It partnered with Paradox in October 2024 and now uses an AI-powered system with virtual assistant Ava Cado to engage candidates, schedule interviews and send job offers.
