US-based fast-casual restaurant Chipotle Mexican Grill is set to open its first restaurant in Uxbridge, in the London borough of Hillingdon, on 5 February 2024, Retail Times has reported.
The new establishment, located at Unit 48, High Street, within the Pavilions shopping centre, will be open from 11am to 11pm daily.
As part of the opening day celebrations, Chipotle is treating guests to complimentary guacamole with the purchase of any salad, bowl, burrito, quesadilla or taco.
The latest Chipotle location will feature its signature freshly prepared tortilla chips, seasoned with lime and a touch of salt.
Customers will be able to enjoy their meals in-restaurant or opt for delivery through third-party services such as Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo.
The Retail Times quoted Chipotle Mexican Grill European operations director Jacob Sumner as saying: “Given the rising popularity of Chipotle across London, our expansion in the larger area remains a top priority for our international strategy.
“This new location will increase the Uxbridge community’s access to real, fresh food.”
The restaurant group holds a portfolio of 17 restaurants in the Greater London area and maintains full ownership and operation of all its establishments across the US, Canada and Western Europe.
Chipotle is known for its burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, salads and tortilla chips, all made from real ingredients without artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
The company prides itself on cooking fresh food daily, as its restaurants do not have freezers.
In December 2023, Chipotle invested in two companies, Greenfield Robotics and Nitricity, through its $50m venture fund, Cultivate Next.
Greenfield Robotics is engaged in making regenerative farming efficient with the application of the latest advances in AI, robotics and sensing technologies.
Nitricity aims to control greenhouse gas emissions by developing fertilisers that are better for fields, farmers and the environment.
