Fast casual restaurant chain Chipotle Mexican Grill is set to expand its UK presence with a new restaurant on London's Tottenham Court Road, the Foodservice Equipment Journal has reported.
The Tottenham Court Road location, which is set to open on 28 March 2024, will operate from 11am to 11pm daily.
This latest addition to the restaurant chain's portfolio will offer dine-in or delivery through third-party services Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo.
As part of the opening celebration, the company will offer diners complimentary guacamole when they purchase a salad, bowl, burrito, quesadilla or tacos.
Customers can also try the brand's Chicken al Pastor dish, which is being offered for a limited time.
Chipotle European operations director Jacob Sumner was quoted by Foodservice Equipment Journal as saying: “London remains an attractive growth area for us because UK consumers are prioritising healthy and sustainable food options.
“Our new Tottenham Court Road location will not only expand access to our real food for fans in London but also increase awareness of our brand in a dynamic part of the city.”
Chipotle owns and runs all its eateries in the US, Canada and Western Europe. It currently has 18 locations in the Greater London area.
The menu features burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, salads and tortilla chips.
The company prepares all its dishes without the use of artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
Chipotle emphasises its dedication to freshness by not having freezers in its restaurants, guaranteeing that food is prepared fresh every day.
Earlier this month, the company announced the global return of its Chicken al Pastor dish across its restaurants for a limited period.
The dish, which includes freshly grilled chicken seasoned with seared morita peppers and ground achiote, has been introduced in the US, Canada, France, Germany and the UK.
