Chopstix, a pan-Asian restaurant chain owned by Chopstix Group, has opened a new outlet at Butlin's resort in Minehead, Somerset, England, the Somerset County Gazette has reported.
The opening, which took place on 9 February 2024, adds to the resort's dining scene, catering to families and adults.
The launch is part of a £1.2m investment aimed at expanding the foodservice offerings in the Boardwalk area near the Skyline Pavilion.
It is a continuation of Butlin's efforts to improve guest experiences, following the introduction of a Papa John's pizza eatery in September 2023.
The resort's food landscape is set to further evolve with the anticipated summer openings of the £2.5m Butlin’s SKYPARK and the permanent Studio 36 venue.
Chopstix's new establishment will create ten jobs, offering its Pan-Asian cuisine to a wide range of visitors, including family break attendees, day tourists and Big Weekender participants.
The restaurant chain will offer a variety of Asian-inspired flavours that cater to different tastes.
Butlin’s Minehead resort director Craig Goodwin was quoted by the Somerset County Gazette as saying: “We’re really excited to be opening Chopstix in time for the busy February half-term holidays.
“Following the success of Chopstix opening in Bognor Regis last year, we’re delighted to be bringing even more choice to our guests in Minehead.
“We know our guests want quality and value, so I’m confident Chopstix is going to be really popular with holidaymakers joining us on family breaks and Big Weekenders.
“The continued investment in our resort has allowed us to create more jobs and Chopstix gives our guests something different when eating on resort with great-tasting, quality products.
“Whether it’s refuelling at lunch or dinner or to grab a late-night snack, Chopstix offers variety and great value for money throughout the day.”
Chopstix Group acquired Chozen Noodle, a competing UK brand, in March 2022.
The acquisition included Chozen Noodle’s 27 motorway service area locations which operate under franchise agreements with service providers Roadchef and Moto.
