US-based Mexican-inspired quick-service restaurant chain Del Taco has signed an agreement to open ten outlets in Indiana.
The chain’s target markets in the state include three in the Indianapolis designated market area (DMA) — Greenwood, Plainfield and Avon — and the cities of Bloomington, Bedford and Columbus.
This agreement marks Del Taco's first entry to the Indiana market.
The new Indiana franchisee, Cole Sinclair, has diverse expertise, including in real estate, finance, insurance, human resources, sales and marketing.
Sinclair said: “We were drawn to Del Taco due to its strong market position as a top emerging fast-food brand and its flexible location requirements, which make it an ideal fit for the Indiana market.
“Additionally, its proven business model and potential for multi-unit development present a solid opportunity for long-term growth. We believe the brand's strong recognition, compelling differentiation and loyal customer base will significantly enhance our chances of success.”
Del Taco offers a menu that combines Mexican and American items such as burritos and fries.
The restaurant chain’s menu includes grilled chicken, carne asada steak, house-made guacamole, slow-cooked beans and its signature Queso Blanco.
Del Taco franchise development vice-president Van Ingram stated: “We are thrilled to welcome this dynamic group of entrepreneurs to the Del Taco family.
“Their passion for the brand and business acumen are exactly what we look for when bringing on a new franchisee. We are confident that they will be successful in bringing the fresh ingredients and bold flavours of Del Taco to the Indianapolis community.”
In January 2024, Del Taco expanded its Del’s Real Deal$ menu with two new burritos – the Bean, Rice and Cheese Burrito and the Chipotle Chicken Burrito.
