US-based diner-style restaurant chain Denny's has re-introduced its Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes for the autumn season in the US.

Available for a limited period, the buttermilk pancakes are prepared using real pumpkin pie filling and glazed pecans and are topped with pecan pie sauce.

Denny’s product innovation vice-president Sharon Lykins said: “As dessert-inspired breakfasts continue to captivate food lovers, we're excited to celebrate the official return of our Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes—a delightful fusion of two holiday favourites, pumpkin pie and pecan pie.

“This limited-edition recipe is one our guests look forward to each fall. Our team continuously innovates craveable dishes and we're looking forward to even more introductions as we head into the holidays.”

Customers can purchase the limited-edition seasonal breakfast item as a stack or as a Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes Slam meal comprising two eggs, golden hash browns and crispy bacon strips or sausage links.

The diner-style restaurant chain noted that its Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes are available from 30 August until 24 October across all its US locations.

Customers can also purchase the seasonal online through the company’s website or app.

In June this year, Denny’s relaunched its Baconalia menu in the US after ten years.

Baconalia features seven bacon-centric creations, including the Premium Bacon Loaded Pancakes, the Triple Bacon Sampler, the Bacon Obsession Burger and the Sweet Maple Bacon Sundae.

Could the consumer industry be bolstered by the increased use of AI

The consumer goods, foodservice, and packaging sectors are undergoing digital transformation, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic and changing consumer preferences. Data science and ML are strong investments across all areas. For the most part, these sectors will not play a significant role in creating and developing AI hardware or platforms, but will instead help scale up the adoption of AI technologies, such as CV, conversational platforms, and smart robots.
