Dallas-based family-run barbecue restaurant chain Dickey's Barbecue Pit (Dickey's) has expanded its presence in Canada by launching two new restaurants in Alberta.
The first restaurant is located at 9382 South Fort Dr, 106 Fort, Saskatchewan and opened its doors for customers on 30 May and is owned and operated by Sajeev Kottackal.
The launch will be celebrated by a grand opening event on 2 June.
The second Dickey’s Barbecue Pit restaurant will be located at 4812 - 43A Avenue, Leduc, T9E6M5, AB.
It is scheduled to open on 20 June and will be owned and operated by Faisal Khan Suri.
The opening of these two barbecue stores comes ahead of Canadian Day, celebrated on 1 July.
Dickey’s Barbecue international sales executive vice-president Jim Perkins said: “The timing of these openings greatly complements Canada Day on 1 July and offers Canadians across Alberta the options to eat in, take away or have their gathering catered by our two newest locations, as well as our three other stores in Edmonton.”
The new outlets will offer Albertans Texas-style barbecue.
Dickey’s said that customers can also opt for in-store pickup to-go and delivery services using Dickey’s mobile application website.
Dickey’s Capital Group CEO Roland Dickey Jr said: “We couldn’t be happier to open this new location and be available to more Canadian guests.
“Canada has shown a love for Texas BBQ and we are happy to deliver.”
