Master franchisee of Domino's Pizza in China, Hong Kong and Macau, DPC Dash, has announced that it has boosted its store count in China to 656 as of 31 May 2023.
The company said it has built on Domino's business model by localising its key features for China and its consumers.
The business model focuses on serving pizzas to Chinese consumers through online channels, with an emphasis on delivery enhanced by technology.
DPC Dash believes the model will help expand the brand’s presence throughout China.
In April 2023, the company opened new restaurants in Qingdao and Wenzhou, which broke Domino's global system record for sales in the first 30 days.
The company plans to open 180 new stores this year and approximately 240 in 2024.
DPC Dash executive director and CEO Aileen Wang said: “We are pleased to see the continuous, high-quality growth of our presence in China.
“We adopt a unique business model that combines the globally recognised Domino's playbook with our knowledge of the China market, aiming at serving handcrafted, quality pizza at a competitive price, with easy ordering access and efficient delivery, enhanced by technological innovations.”
The company plans to continue its tailored localisation strategies, implement an actionable store expansion plan, focus more on a delivery-centric business model, and strengthen its development capabilities in terms of menu and technology.
