Taco Bell franchisee Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is set to unveil a new Taco Bell location in San Ysidro, California, US.

The new outlet, situated at 2030 Dairy Mart Road, will open on 9 October 2024.

It will showcase Taco Bell's latest interior designs and customer service innovations, including self-service kiosks and a dedicated walk-up window to streamline delivery orders.

The San Ysidro Taco Bell aims to offer guests a more efficient ordering experience for both in-store and mobile app purchases.

The new restaurant will serve Taco Bell's well-known menu items along with speciality offerings such as the Cheez-it Crunchwrap, which is making a comeback.

Customers can place their orders through the Taco Bell app or via DoorDash, Uber Eats and GrubHub.

As part of the opening celebrations, the first 50 guests to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be rewarded with a custom Taco Bell-branded bucket hat.

DRG Southern California Operations vice-president Bob Schalow said: “We are thrilled to welcome in the San Ysidro community and have the opportunity to give back to our loyal customers.

“Guests will be able to enjoy the beloved Taco Bell menu and discover the enhanced features that promise a more enjoyable and convenient overall experience.”

In April 2023, DRG opened its 300th Taco Bell restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri, considered one of the key cities in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

The outlet at 15881 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park features a dual-lane drive-through with comprehensive delivery and mobile capabilities, along with integrated kiosk technology for convenient dine-in ordering and easy access for collecting mobile orders.
