US-based Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is set to open its new Taco Bell Cantina in San Jose, California, on 23 August 2023

Located at Westfield Oakridge Mall, the new restaurant outlet will have a retro look featuring a vintage movie theatre display case.

The restaurant will feature three ordering kiosks, a pick-up window and patio seating with the capacity to accommodate up to 24 guests.

It will also serve alcoholic beverages such as liquour, beer and wine to guests who are 21 years and above.

On opening day, the first 100 guests will receive an exclusive Taco Bell cup.

DRG CEO and Taco Bell franchisee SG Ellison said: “The new San Jose Taco Bell Cantina is a great addition to the community and offers more ease and convenience for customers to dine in, order delivery, or pick up to-go orders.

“Plus, the cool factor for this location is that customers can quickly get their Taco Bell and Twisted Freeze fix before or after shopping or seeing a new movie release at the amazing Century Theatre in the Westfield Oakridge Mall.”

In 2012, DRG started as a limited partnership in a 29-unit Taco Bell franchise. It currently operates more than 350 multi-brand quick service restaurants in Nevada, California, Kansas, Missouri and Alaska.

In April this year, DRG announced that it will open its 300th Taco Bell restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri.
