US-based fire-grilled chicken restaurant chain El Pollo Loco has rolled out a limited-edition Carnitas Menu to mark the holiday season.
The new menu includes Carnitas Tacos, Carnitas Stuffed Quesadilla and Carnitas Wet Burrito.
A suitable option for people seeking handheld food, Carnitas Tacos are made with two corn-blend tortillas stuffed with pork carnitas, onion, avocado salsa, cabbage, cilantro and avocado topping.
The Carnitas Stuffed Quesadilla is made with a flour tortilla filled with tender pork carnitas, avocado, melted cheese, pico de gallo and avocado salsa.
The Wet Burrito dish comprises a flour tortilla that wraps pork carnitas, pico de gallo, pinto beans and sour cream, served with green enchilada sauce, cheese and cilantro.
El Pollo Loco vice-president of research and development Heather Gardea said: “Our Carnitas menu at El Pollo Loco is much more than just food; it's a tribute to tradition.
“It takes time to prepare these carnitas, respecting the centuries-old traditions behind them, ensuring each bite is packed with bold and authentic flavours. It’s perfect for anyone who loves a taste of heritage in every bite.”
The menu also offers two additional items, consisting of Pork Carnitas Nachos and Pork Carnitas Tostadas.
These two limited-time items will be available to order exclusively through the Loco Rewards app.
For this holiday season menu, El Pollo Loco is also launching the Festive Family Meal, starting at $24.
This meal option includes eight pieces of fire-grilled chicken, tortillas and three side dishes.

El Pollo Loco also recently announced the relaunch of its Stuffed Quesadillas in the US for a limited period.
