FAT Brands, the parent company of Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery brands, has opened its first co-branded store in Happy Valley, Oregon, US.

The co-branded Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery venue is located in Clackamas County and is the first for both brands in the Pacific Northwest region.

FAT Brands QSR division president Allison Lauenstein said: “We are thrilled to introduce our co-branded Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery concept to the Pacific Northwest for the first time.

“Both brands are known worldwide for crafting mouth-watering freshly made sweets, including cookie cakes, cookies and ice cream that bring joy to our customers.

“With this opening marking the first in the region, we're excited to create an unparalleled dessert experience that will resonate with the Happy Valley community and residents in the greater Portland area.”

Marble Slab Creamery offerings include homemade, small-batch ice cream with free unlimited mix-ins, shakes in a variety of flavours and ice cream cakes.

On the other hand, Great American Cookies offers menu items such as brownies and Double Doozies, made with icing sandwiched between two cookies.

In June this year, FAT Brands opened its first Great American Cookies store in Anchorage, Alaska.

The store will offer a variety of desserts such as fresh and soft-baked cookies, custom cookie cakes and brownies, and serve as a major sweet hub for the residents.

Could the consumer industry be bolstered by the increased use of AI

The consumer goods, foodservice, and packaging sectors are undergoing digital transformation, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic and changing consumer preferences. Data science and ML are strong investments across all areas. For the most part, these sectors will not play a significant role in creating and developing AI hardware or platforms, but will instead help scale up the adoption of AI technologies, such as CV, conversational platforms, and smart robots.
