US-based restaurant chain Firehouse Subs has relaunched its King's Hawaiian Pork & Slaw Sandwich in the country for a limited time.
The restaurant brand introduced the Pork & Slaw Sandwich after a hiatus of eight years.
Firehouse Subs chief marketing officer Yosef Hojchman said: “For more than eight years, guests have been continuously sending us messages asking us to bring back the King's Hawaiian Pork & Slaw.
“We're thrilled to finally deliver. And, give them a sandwich they've been asking for while also giving back to those impacted in the Hawaii wildfires because we know our guests share our passion for supporting local communities.”
The restaurant company said that its sandwich contains slow-smoked pulled pork, melted pepper jack cheese and sweet and tangy slaw all on a King's Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Bun.
Customers can purchase the King's Hawaiian Pork & Slaw Sandwich at participating Firehouse Subs locations across the US.
In addition to the sandwich, the restaurant brand has also announced the launch of its Tropical Cherry Lime-Aid.
The new drink features the original Firehouse Subs recipe with a pineapple-flavoured twist. It is available in original, sparkling zero-sugar and sparkling zero-sugar varieties.
Earlier this month, Firehouse Subs partnered with Dubai-based Apparel Group to open more than 100 restaurants in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman over the next ten years.
