US-based restaurant chain First Watch has added new speciality iced coffees to its regular breakfast, brunch and lunch menus across the country.
The restaurant is adding two new iced coffees to its menu, Mint Mocha and Honey Caramel Crunch, both of which will feature Ghirardelli dark chocolate chips, honey, toffee crumbles and sweet cream cold foam.
There will also be five new drinks added to the summer seasonal menu, including the Watermelon Wake-Up juice. These will be available until 13 August, excluding the Tampa Bay area.
First Watch brand strategy and innovation senior vice-president Matt Eisenacher said: “Evolving these new coffees from an idea to reality, our very own Chef Shane Schaibly and supply chain team procured honey from over 35 producers, along with fresh mint and farm-fresh cream to create the Mint Mocha and Honey Caramel Crunch flavours.
“Our iced coffees being the latest example, every item on our tables reflects our strong, intentional relationships with growers, seasonal expertise and culture of testing, learning and innovating to make our customers’ days that much brighter.”
The restaurant’s seasonal summer menu food offerings include strawberry Tres leches French toast, carnitas breakfast tostadas, lone star brisket hash and bacon cheddar cornbread.
First Watch culinary strategy senior vice-president Shane Schaibly said: “With our new iced coffees, First Watch is offering a way to beat the summer heat with chilled beverages that pair perfectly with the sweet and savoury flavours we’re bringing with our newest seasonal menu.
“Even the dish’s accompanying cup of fresh fruit complements the tostadas’ bold flavours with Tajín and its unique blend of chilli and lime. And you know it wouldn’t be summertime at First Watch without our Watermelon Wake-Up fresh juice, making its highly demanded return for the fourth year in a row.”
First Watch has more than 480 restaurants in 29 US states.
It is majority owned by private equity firm Advent International.
