Greene King’s pub brand Flaming Grill has re-introduced a traditional turkey dinner to its festive menu in the UK after widespread calls.

Flaming Grill, known for its flame-grilled food and sizzling skillets, removed the traditional turkey dinner from its festive menu in 2022, and has now admitted that this was a mistake.

Traditional turkey is a key component of Christmas dinner.

The brand has announced the festive favourite’s return by launching the "12 days of turkey" competition, which will give its guests a chance to win a host of turkey-related prizes.

Flaming Grill has launched the competition alongside an extensive festive menu across all of its 143 pubs nationwide.

Offerings also include a flame-grilled beef and camembert burger and festive nachos, a merry cherry bakewell and Christmas crumble cocktails.

Flaming Grill marketing manager Mia Broadbent stated: “We realised the error of our ways last year by removing the traditional turkey dinner from our festive menu, so we’re making amends this time round by bringing turkey back and giving customers the chance to win some incredible prizes just in time for the Christmas.

“Turkey is clearly still the nation’s favourite, so we’ve brought the joy of the traditional turkey dinner to our customers this festive season, with prizes to suit everyone’s tastes and interests.”

In June 2023, Greene King’s franchise business unit, Greene King Pub Partners, secured membership of the British Franchise Association, an independent self-regulatory body that ensures the integrity and credibility of the franchising sector. It also provides guidance, support and accreditation to franchise businesses.
