Restaurant technology solutions provider Fleksa, in partnership with fintech company Stripe, has introduced the new SoftPOS [Software Point of Sale] payment solution for restaurants,
Compatible with both Android and iOS devices, the new solution allows Fleksa's partner restaurants to utilise smartphones as payment terminals, offering a cost-effective alternative to conventional POS systems.
This also helps eliminate the need for any initial set-up or future maintenance costs.
The SoftPOS solution enables waitstaff to process payments anywhere within the restaurant, including at the table, which can expedite service and elevate the customer experience.
This feature is particularly advantageous for outdoor dining and event-based services.
Fleksa’s SoftPOS supports a variety of payment methods, such as digital wallets including Apple Pay and Google Pay, near-field-communication-based contactless payments and major credit and debit cards.
The system is also equipped with security measures, including tokenisation and encryption, to ensure transaction security and compliance with the payment card industry data security standard.
SoftPOS can easily integrate with existing restaurant management systems, allowing restaurants to streamline their operations, from order taking to payment processing, while minimising the likelihood of errors.
For restaurants, SoftPOS simplifies payment processing, allowing staff to dedicate more time to customer service, resulting in quicker table turnover and increased revenue.
The solution is suitable for all restaurant sizes, and can grow with a business without substantial additional investment.
Customers benefit from the convenience of paying directly at their table, leading to reduced wait times and a smoother payment process.
In September 2023 Fleksa collaborated with Google Food Ordering to provide digital advantages to small and medium-sized restaurants with the help of its POS systems so that the orders placed using Google can be directed towards Fleksa’s POS systems.
