Fogo de Chão, a restaurant chain specialising in southern Brazilian cuisine, has signed a lease agreement to open its fourth location in New York City (NYC), US.

The new 5,009ft² location will join Fogo’s three other NYC venues when it opens in 2024 at The Oculus in Westfield World Trade Center, the largest shopping complex in Manhattan.

Fogo de Chão CEO Barry McGowan stated: “We are excited to open another restaurant in Manhattan after a decade since our debut in Midtown on 53rd.

“As we expand our East Coast presence, we continue to see the growing demand for the culinary art of churrasco that we uniquely offer at Fogo.

“Manhattan is a sought-after destination for millions from around the world and our goal is to provide a distinctive dining experience that complements the city’s diverse culinary landscape.”

Fogo’s World Trade Center restaurant will present the brand’s recent transformation, showcasing enhanced design and innovation platforms.

The new venue will have an expansive dining room centred around an open churrasco grill, and a market table featuring seasonal salads, fresh superfoods, cured meats and antipasti.

The restaurant will also be Fogo’s ninth location in the New York Designated Market Areas, joining Brooklyn, Huntington Station, Long Island, Midtown Manhattan, Paramus, Queens, Wayne and White Plains.

In November 2023, Fogo de Chão signed a lease agreement to make its debut in Nashville, Tennessee.

The 8,500ft² location is scheduled to open in 2025 at Nashville Yards, a 19-acre mixed-use development.
