US-based fast casual restaurant Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has opened a new location in Burleson, Texas.

The new outlet is located at 608 SW Wilshire Boulevard and is the brand’s 500th restaurant.

The company noted that this achievement highlights its rapid development since its inception in 2002, as well as how well the concept has resonated in each of the markets it serves.

Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers president and CEO Chris Dull said: “As we celebrate this milestone, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude.

“Reaching 500 locations was made possible first and foremost through the commitment of our passionate franchise partners, which we believe are the best group of franchisees in the country.

“Over the years we have had thousands of devoted team members that have contributed greatly to Freddy's success and we have enjoyed the support of our valued guests who have become part of Freddy's family.”

Through multiple franchise development agreements, Freddy's has added more than 70 new development commitments to its pipeline throughout 2023.

The company plans to open more than 60 new locations across the country in 2023.

In July this year, Freddy's signed a franchise development agreement to open eight new restaurants in LA County, California.

The agreement was signed with a new franchisee, Ellis Choi, on the heels of a significant two-quarters of growth.

Freddy's ended its first half (H1) with more than 480 locations across 36 states.

Full-service restaurant (FSR) was the largest profit sector channel in Germany in 2022

The Germany foodservice profit sector generated revenue of EUR84.8 billion ($89.3 billion) in 2022, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of more than 11% during 2022-2027. FSR was the largest foodservice profit sector channel in 2022, reflecting the popularity of traditional fine-dining experiences among German consumers. Despite the highly fragmented market, pub, club & bar channel is set to record the highest growth during 2022–27, triggered by an increase in transactions and average transaction value.
