British chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay is set to open his signature burger concept, Gordon Ramsay Burger, at Great Canadian Casino Vancouver.

The new venue will open on 4 December 2023.

Gordon Ramsay Burger will offer guests a wide range of menu items, including gourmet burgers, house-crafted sauces, hand-spun shakes and irresistible sides.

The announcement was made by Canada's gaming and hospitality company Great Canadian Entertainment, which has a portfolio of 25 distinct gaming, entertainment and hospitality properties across Canada.

Great Canadian Casino Vancouver is rebranding from Hard Rock Casino Vancouver, effective from December of this year.

Additionally, the partnership between Chef Ramsay and Great Canadian Entertainment will see the opening of Gordon Ramsay Steak at River Rock Casino Resort in 2024.

Gordon Ramsay North America comprises the chef's US and Canada restaurant businesses. It includes brands such as Ramsay's Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza, Gordon Ramsay Steak, Gordon Ramsay HELL'S KITCHEN, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Gordon Ramsay Burger.

Last month, Gordon Ramsay announced plans to open the first Gordon Ramsay Steak in the US state of Louisiana in November 2023.

Located at the Horseshoe Lake Charles Hotel, the restaurant will have the capacity to accommodate more than 200 guests. It will feature a full bar serving cocktails and an extensive wine list.

The new steakhouse menu offerings include Louisiana Blue Crab Cake, dry-aged prime beef, American and Japanese Wagyu, chops and crispy skin salmon.

Robots are well established in consumer goods and packaging industries, though adoption in foodservice is at a nascent stage

Current metaverse applications in the T&T sector either focus on digital marketing campaigns with real-world rewards for consumers, creating immersive experiences on-site for digitally savvy consumers through AR and VR metaverses, or improving operational efficiency through digital twin technology. As the metaverse evolves, it could offer virtual travel opportunities that complement traditional tourism. However, uptake of the metaverse by smaller travel and tourism operators will remain limited until use cases are affordable and provide a guaranteed return on investment.
