Great American Cookies, which is owned by FAT Brands, has boosted its presence in the US by opening a new location in Orlando, Florida.

Located in the Orlando International Premium Outlets, the opening of the new store also marks another successful conversion of Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip to Great American Cookies by FAT Brands.

In May 2022, FAT Brands agreed to acquire Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip and said that it would rebrand these stores as Great American Cookies.

FAT Brands QSR division president Allison Lauenstein said: “We are beyond excited for Great American Cookies to re-enter the Orlando market and offer our signature Cookie Cakes and Cookies to the community once again.

“Our brand has a rich history of creating memorable moments with our freshly baked Cookie Cakes and we can't wait to continue that tradition in Orlando.”

The new location will offer guests a wide range of menu items such as brownies and Double Doozies.

Great American Cookies plans to expand its Orlando store footprint further by opening new outlets in the region later this year.

Earlier this month, Great American Cookies opened its 400th location in the US.

It also expanded its presence through a co-branding model with its sister brand, Marble Slab Creamery.

The company currently operates more than 179 co-branded locations across the world.

Could the consumer industry be bolstered by the increased use of AI

The consumer goods, foodservice, and packaging sectors are undergoing digital transformation, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic and changing consumer preferences. Data science and ML are strong investments across all areas. For the most part, these sectors will not play a significant role in creating and developing AI hardware or platforms, but will instead help scale up the adoption of AI technologies, such as CV, conversational platforms, and smart robots.
