Chinese tea chain HEYTEA is set to open its latest New York store on 13 September 2024, coinciding with New York Fashion Week (NYFW).

The new concept store, located at Herald Square, is the first of its kind in the US from the brand, blending traditional oriental elements with modern design.

Its aesthetic draws inspiration from classic pavilion courtyards and ink paintings, featuring modernised pavilions and ink textures alongside imitation stone tiles.

Inside, the store is decorated with bamboo, lacquer work, rice paper and light film, creating an atmosphere of nature and warmth.

HEYTEA’s Herald Square store will be its ninth in the US and involves a collaboration with New York designer Sandy Liang.

HEYTEA, known as the originator of New Style Tea and New Asian Tea, uses organic milks, high-quality tea leaves and real fruits in its tea blends.

Its menu includes a variety of teas categorised as In Season, Cheesy Fruit Tea, Fruit Tea, Milk Tea and Pure Tea.

Following its launch in the US in December 2023, HEYTEA has set up stores in Los Angeles, Irvine, Rowland Heights and Seattle.

Globally, HEYTEA operates more than 4,000 stores in 300 cities, catering to 100 million customers.

HEYTEA associate global brand director Jessica Shen said: “We are delighted to be opening our 9th USA store in New York during NYFW.

“Inspirational design plays such a big part in our look and feel here at HEYTEA, which is why we have teamed with New York designer Sandy Liang to bring this element to life.

“This concept store will be a place where people can relax, recharge and enjoy real Asian tea.”
