The Honey Baked Ham Company (HoneyBaked) has partnered with the Davis Restaurant Group (DRG) to open a new location in Hagerstown in the US state of Maryland.

The move is a strategic expansion for the brand, which is known for its hand-crafted ham, turkey and a variety of sides.

DRG, HoneyBaked’s largest operating group, has been adding to its growth.

Since its establishment in 2013, DRG has expanded its portfolio to include 17 HoneyBaked stores across six US states.

It plans to open seven additional stores by 2025, according to a press release published on Franchise.org.

DRG founder Matt Davis said: “HoneyBaked has played an important role in both my own and my family’s lives for more than 30 years, and I’m always honoured to have the chance to continue the legacy in more communities.

“We have built an amazing support system throughout our time with the brand, and it reflects in our eagerness to continue our nationwide expansion.

“Seeing customers return to our locations with a smile on their face is what makes this all worthwhile and we look forward to creating that same experience in Hagerstown.”

HoneyBaked is known for its glazed ham, ready-to-serve turkeys, sides, desserts and complete meals.

HoneyBaked franchise development director Scott Temme said: “Matt and his team have proved to be exceptional partners over the years and their loyalty and commitment to expansion mean a great deal to our brand.

“Being able to witness their overall growth and impact on the segment has been invaluable and this is an exciting opportunity as HoneyBaked continues to grow on the East Coast.”
