American coffee shop chain The Human Bean has opened a new drive-through location in Joplin, Missouri, US.
The new outlet, which opened on 2 March 2024, is located at 5799 N Main Street in Joplin. It is owned by local entrepreneurs Doug, Lynn and Ben Wright.
The opening marks the latest addition to the nationwide presence of The Human Bean, known for its speciality-grade coffee, whole-leaf teas, real fruit smoothies and hot breakfast items to go.
The Human Bean’s new location in Joplin will be open from 5am to 8pm.
The menu includes Java Chip with Real Caramel, Irish Cream Mocha, Snowy Mocha, cappuccinos and other coffee styles, classic teas, blended beverages and caffeine-free options.
The Joplin store also offers wheelchair-accessible parking and accepts gift cards, Human Bean rewards and mobile payments for orders.
The Human Bean CEO Dan Hawkins said: “We started by serving the very first cup with a chocolate-covered espresso bean on top as a thank you. It is a message we are excited to continue sharing in Joplin, and we hope every customer leaves feeling that gratitude.”
The Human Bean has expanded significantly since its inception in southern Oregon in 1998.
The brand has attributed its growth to the franchise model.
Since the opening of its first drive-through espresso stand in Oregon’s Ashland in 1998, The Human Bean has expanded to 260 locations open or under development in 21 US states.
