Michigan, US-based restaurant chain Hungry Howie's, known for its Flavored Crust pizza, has launched a new culinary creation – the Chicken and Waffles Pizza.  

The offering is available for a limited period from 4 November through to December 2024 at participating locations nationwide. 

Featuring a distinctive Maple Sugar Flavored Crust, the pizza is topped with mozzarella cheese, crispy chicken bites, waffle pieces, bacon and a maple syrup drizzle. 

Hungry Howie's marketing and product development vice president Jeff Rinke said: "We're excited to introduce our Chicken and Waffles Pizza, an innovative combination of sweet and savoury that brings together two favourite comfort foods. 

"This pizza features a brand-new Maple Sugar Flavored Crust that perfectly complements its breakfast-inspired toppings. We can't wait for everyone to experience this delicious creation while it's available." 

The limited-time item can be ordered online, via the app or in-store while supplies last.  

Hungry Howie's has evolved from a 1,000ft²  hamburger joint in Taylor, Michigan, to operate 517 locations in 21 states.  

The chain offers pizza crust flavourings such as Butter, Asiago Cheese and Cajun, along with calzone-style oven-baked subs, Howie Bread and fresh salads.

In October 2024, Hungry Howie’s conducted a breast cancer awareness initiative tied to the brand's annual Love, Hope & Pizza campaign.
