The International House of Pancakes (IHOP) has announced the launch of its Pancake of the Month programme in the US, offering unique pancake flavours to customers each month.

The programme is set to commence on 1 February 2024, with a new flavour introduced on the first of every subsequent month.

IHOP's Pancake of the Month programme is designed to offer guests a limited-time opportunity to enjoy different pancake combinations.

The initiative will kick off with the Chocolate Strawberry Pancakes, aligning with Valentine's Day celebrations and available as a full stack, side or within a pancake combo.

The Chocolate Strawberry full stack features four chocolate chip pancakes topped with a luxurious cheesecake mousse, chocolate sauce, fresh strawberries, whipped topping and chocolate chips.

The offering is expected to be a hit among patrons looking for a special treat during the month of love.

IHOP is also incentivising guests to participate in the programme through the International Bank of Pancakes loyalty challenge.

Customers who order the Pancake of the Month twice or more within a month can earn ten PanCoins.

Customers who order the Pancake of the Month at least once every month for a year will receive a bonus of 100 PanCoins.

The Pancake of the Month will be available at participating IHOP restaurants nationwide, while supplies last.

IHOP culinary vice-president and chef Arthur Carl said: “IHOP is the leader in breakfast, and this programme demonstrates our continued efforts and commitment to innovation by providing guests with new ways to try classic favourites and menu trends.

“With Pancake of the Month, our culinary team got creative in the kitchen, and developed a lineup of new flavours that brings IHOP’s world-famous pancakes to guests in a fresh way.

“We had a lot of fun creating the Pancake of the Month flavours and think our guests are going to love trying the new stacks each month.”

In September 2023, IHOP launched its new autumn menu in the US. The menu included Belgian waffles, hand-crafted melts and entrées.
