Insomnia Cookies, a bakery brand known for its late-night service, is set to celebrate a significant milestone with the opening of its 300th bakery worldwide on 28 September 2024.
The achievement underscores its aim to expand its reach and satisfy the late-night cravings of its customers.
In 2024, the brand anticipates opening 55 new bakeries - a new record for its annual expansion.
2024 marked the debut of Insomnia Cookies' global headquarters – the "Imagine What's Possible Center" and Flagship Bakery.
The company has also broadened its presence in transit centres, inaugurating a bakery at New York's Penn Station and announcing an imminent opening at Washington DC.'s Union Station.
To commemorate the opening of its 300th bakery, Insomnia Cookies is offering a week of sweet perks from 23 September to 29 September. Daily, the first 300 customers to use a coupon code posted on the brand's Instagram will receive three free Classic cookies with any delivery order. Insomnia Rewards members will also benefit from triple points on any in-store and delivery orders.
The 300th bakery will be inaugurated with a grand opening event in Seattle, Washington, on 28 September. This new location, situated in Seattle's University District, will be the first for the brand in the city, marking another step in its strategic expansion.
Having established its international presence in Canada and the UK in the summer of 2023, Insomnia Cookies plans further expansion in the autumn of 2024. The company's growth is fuelled by new partnerships with Verlinvest and Mistral Equity Partners, with an ambitious target to launch 1,800 bakeries in the US up to 2033.
In July 2024, doughnut chain Krispy Kreme sold its majority ownership stake in Insomnia Cookies to investment companies Verlinvest and Mistral Equity Partners.
