American casual dining restaurant J Alexander’s has announced plans to open its newest location in Naples, Florida.

To be located at 8860 Tamiami Trail North, it will be J Alexander’s seventh restaurant in the state.

The restaurant chain, owned by SPB Hospitality, is known for its wood-fired cuisine. The menu includes a wide selection of American classics such as prime rib of beef, steaks, fresh seafood, sandwiches and entrée salads along with a full-service bar.

SPB Hospitality CEO Josh Kern stated: “We are excited to be part of the Naples community and to share our carefully crafted menu and bar offerings.

“J Alexander’s proudly creates high-quality dining experiences, and we look forward to strengthening our Southwest Florida team with individuals who share in our commitment to exceptional hospitality.

J Alexander’s is hiring staff for its new Naples location and will finalise the opening date shortly.

In August 2023, the restaurant announced plans to open a new location in Annapolis, Maryland.

Located at 1906 Town Center Blvd, Suite 155, Annapolis, it will be J Alexander’s 36th restaurant in the US.

The location was formerly home to the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, which closed in February 2023.

In September 2021, SPB acquired J Alexander’s Holdings, the parent company of J Alexander’s Restaurant, Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill, Redlands Grill, Overland Park Grill, Merus Grill and other brands, for $220m.

SPB Hospitality operates and franchises steakhouses, pizza and craft brewery restaurants.
