Restaurant chain Jollibee is set to further bolster its presence in the US by opening its first restaurant in the state of Michigan. 

The new restaurant, located at 44945 Woodridge Drive in front of Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights, will open on 12 January 2024. 

The venue will serve Jollibee's signature offerings, including Chickenjoy fried chicken, chicken sandwiches and the Peach Mango Pie dessert.  

The outlet will provide service seven days a week from 9am to 10pm, offering dine-in, take-out and drive-thru options. 

Jollibee business group head Maribeth Dela Cruz said: “We are so thrilled to be opening our doors in this magnificent state for the very first time, as Michigan is a key market in our accelerated US growth strategy.  

“We look forward to seeing both familiar faces and first-time customers at our first location in the close-knit Sterling Heights community, where we can't wait to create many new joyful moments for those who call the Detroit area home.” 

Jollibee also announced plans to open its 100th North American store in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, and to enter new US markets including Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon.  

It also intends to increase its footprint in existing areas such as New York City. 

In November 2023, Jollibee opened its first location in Dallas, Texas. It was the company’s sixth location in the state and its 70th store in the US.
