Fast food restaurant chain KFC is set to introduce its new Ultimate BBQ Fried Chicken Sandwich across participating locations in the US.

The new summer sandwich will be available from 3 July to 13 August 2023.

The sandwich includes an Extra Crispy 100% white meat filet and is topped with hickory smoked bacon, KFC's signature honey BBQ sauce, crispy fried onions, melted cheese and pickles. All these items are placed on a brioche bun.

KFC US CMO Nick Chavez said: "With the best tastes of summer and our finger lickin' good fried chicken between two buttery brioche buns, the Ultimate BBQ Fried Chicken Sandwich is an invitation to savour every last joyful 'bite' of summer. It's a BBQ in every bite."

Furthermore, KFC is collaborating with go-to travel membership site Going.com to provide the guests who order the new sandwich on the KFC mobile app or website with a chance to win a trip to Aruba.

The restaurant chain has also announced its plan to introduce a new Blackberry Lemonade at its US outlets.

The lemonade will be prepared with a blend of tart and fruity flavours.

It can be ordered with the Ultimate BBQ Fried Chicken Sandwich as part of a combo, which also features Secret Recipe Fries.

In addition, KFC is launching a new Fill Up Box on 20 June 2023.

The box will be priced at $20 and will comprise KFC's 12-piece NEW Kentucky Fried Chicken Nuggets, four chicken pieces, Secret Recipe Fries, four biscuits and the clients' choice of dipping sauces in one easy-to-serve box.
