US-based Krystal Restaurants has introduced a new restaurant design at its Mableton location in the state of Georgia.
The revamped outlet, situated at 703 Veterans Memorial Hwy SW, re-opened on 4 March 2024.
It features a contemporary look tailored to the needs of fast-paced consumers. The design prioritises off-premises dining options, reducing its physical footprint in alignment with current consumer trends.
Instead of a dining room, the facility offers a double-lane drive-through, a walk-up window and a dedicated pickup area for online and third-party delivery orders.
The new design also showcases digital menu boards.
SPB Hospitality CEO Josh Kern said: “As we continue to focus on the future of our brand and how we can best serve our guests, our restaurant design plays a key role.
“We appreciate our guests for being patient during our renovations of the Mableton restaurant and are thrilled to welcome them back with this new look and operations that bring a fresh and more craveable experience.”
Operating hours for the Mableton Krystal accommodate a wide range of schedules, with extended hours on weekends.
The restaurant chain's growth strategy rolls out the new design across both existing and future locations, to expand its market presence.
In August 2023, Krystal launched a refranchising initiative to increase its national footprint.
It can franchise existing company-owned units in new markets to grow from 300 to 500 restaurants by 2027.
In April 2023, Krystal became part of SPB Hospitality's brand portfolio.
The merger expanded SPB Hospitality's reach, adding 300 Krystal locations to its operations and supporting a workforce of 18,500.
