Lagardère Travel Retail has inaugurated the first Costa Coffee outlet in Belgium at Liège-Guillemins station.
The new outlet will serve premium crafted coffees and a selection of fresh products, for consumption both within the store and on the go.
The food selection at the outlet in Liège-Guillemins station has been designed to appeal to the local palate, and features waffles and frangipane tarts.
Lagardère Travel foodservice executive vice-president Mélanie Guilldou said: “I am delighted to see the evolution of our long-lasting collaboration with Costa Coffee reaching new heights with the opening of our first Costa outlet in Belgium.
“This expansion into a new country is testament to our growth achieved over the past decade, solidifying Lagardère Travel Retail’s leading position among the global players in the foodservice landscape.”
As the largest Costa Coffee franchisee in Europe, Lagardère oversees a network of 186 stores in six countries.
The strategic opening of the new store follows Lagardère's acquisition of Costa Coffee's networks in Poland and Latvia in 2023.
Food Services Belgium CEO Nicolas Van Brandt said: “We look forward to welcoming customers to this new outlet and providing them with high-quality Costa Coffee products.
“This opening marks the beginning of an exciting adventure for Lagardère Travel Retail in Belgium, and we are enthusiastic about continuing this promising journey in the years to come.”
Food Services Belgium is a subsidiary of Lagardère Travel Retail.
