Lebanese restaurant Barbar adds new items to menu in GCC region

The restaurant brand will be adding more than 20 dishes at all its locations in UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Lebanese restaurant Barbar has expanded its menu offerings with a wide selection of new items, available across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

Babar is operated by GCC restaurant franchisor Lavoya Group.

The restaurant brand has added more than 20 dishes across its venues in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

The new additions include manakish, wraps, burgers, hot mezzes, salads, sandwiches, desserts and more.

Additionally, the guests can also access the brand’s signature dishes such as Arabic Shawarma chicken or beef, Chicken Francisco Caesar salad, Halloumi Pesto Sandwich Lahm bi Ajeen, Soujouk Burger, Saj Shawarma chicken and beef, and Tuna Wrap.

The new items will be available for dine-in, takeaway and delivery across all Barbar branches.

Lavoya co-founder and CEO Walid Hajj said: “Barbar has always been synonymous with Lebanese traditions and culture. Barbar has become a true stable when it comes to authentic Lebanese cuisine and is popular with both dine-in guests and those who prefer food from the comfort of their homes.

“The new menu additions come as part of our continued efforts to listen to market and consumer needs and allow them to experience new dishes curated by our chefs.”

Established in Beirut four decades ago, Barbar made its debut in the GCC region in 2021.

The restaurant currently operates two locations in Dubai, including Hessa Street and Business Bay. It can also be found in Place Vendôme Mall, Bin Al Sheikh Towers. and Salwa Road in Qatar.

The brand recently entered the Saudi Arabian market by opening a branch on Tahlia Street, Riyadh. It also plans to launch operations in Abu Dhabi.

FSR was the largest foodservice profit sector channel in 2022, with a share of 26.5%, reflecting the popularity of traditional fine-dining experiences among German consumers. Despite the highly fragmented market, pub, club & bar channel is set to record the highest growth during 2022–27, triggered by an increase in transactions and average transaction value.
