Quick service seafood chain Long John Silver's has relaunched its Wisconsin White Cheddar Cheese Bites for a limited period.

The company said that the Wisconsin White Cheddar Cheese Bites are made from Wisconsin white cheddar cheese, lightly coated in a homestyle breading and fried to golden perfection.

It added that the Cheese Bites are available in small and large portions across all its participating locations in the country.

Customers can order or upgrade the side of their combo, meal, or platter to Cheese Bites while supplies last.

Long John Silver's marketing and innovation senior vice-president Christopher Caudill said: “After making a splash with our guests in 2022, Wisconsin White Cheddar Cheese Bites are back.

“These crispy, cheesy and undeniably delicious bites are bound to take guests on a flavour adventure where they'll treasure every bite.”

In June this year, Long John Silver’s opened its flagship location in Indonesia.

Located in Gading Serpong, the new two-level location features a free-standing drive-through facility and has the capacity to accommodate 170 guests.

The restaurant also features the first 3D statue of Long John Silver’s namesake mascot and Captain Flint.

Long John Silver’s brand president Nate Fowler said: “We have seen great success establishing brand recognition and customer satisfaction in Singapore, which encouraged us to look at neighboring markets for expansion opportunities.

“The delicious cuisine, paired with the newly booming fast-food industry, made Indonesia an ideal option for Long John Silver’s next venture.”

Customer engagement drives metaverse investment in the foodservice sector

COVID-19 and supply chain disruptions following the Ukraine war have accelerated automation and digitalization in the foodservice sector. Home delivery services and consumer engagement through digital channels have become essential for businesses trying to stay afloat. Foodservice companies must also cope with ESG issues, the fast-changing world of work, and the global economy heading for recession and possible stagflation. The metaverse, enabled by both AR and VR, is an important tool that can help address many of the foodservice industry's key challenges.
