US-based restaurant chain Marco's Pizza has unveiled plans for four new locations in Boise, Idaho, as part of its expansion strategy in the north-west region.

The first two will open in Caldwell and Kuna in June 2024, with a third in the Meridian area expected by the end of the summer.

The site selection process for the fourth location is in progress.

The brand currently has one location on the western side of the state.

With Boise identified as a key growth market, Marco's Pizza aims to establish up to 12 locations in the area.

Marco's Franchising chief development officer Gerardo Flores said: “We are always intentional with each development decision.

“In conducting a thorough market analysis, we've identified Boise to be a fast-growing city with strong demographics and an impressive labour market.

“We believe the corporate stores will find success in a market we have determined is primed for growth, especially when those stores will be combined with Marco's commitment to the highest quality products and forward-thinking innovations.”

Headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, Marco's Pizza was founded in 1978 by Italian-born Pasquale Giammarco.

It operates 1,200 stores in 34 states and has locations in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.

Last month, Marco’s Pizza opened a new location in Belleview, Florida.

The location is headed by Pete Hiles, a local entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience in the pizza industry.

Hiles currently operates 11 Marco’s Pizza outlets, including two in the Greater Orlando area.

The Belleview location will serve a variety of classic and speciality pizzas with fresh toppings.
