US-based restaurant company Marco’s Pizza has announced the opening of its new location in Magnolia, Florida.

Located opposite the Magnolia Publix supermarket at 2196 Everglades Lane, Marco's Pizza's new venue is owned by local entrepreneur Pete Hiles.

Hiles owns eight other Marco's stores in the greater Orlando area.

Hiles stated: “This is not the first Marco's Pizza location that we have opened and judging by our experience so far, this sure won't be our last.

“We are acutely focused on using our new business to forge local connections and give back to our community, establishing our new Magnolia location as a role model small business in the area.”

Covering an area of 2,400ft², Marco’s Pizza Magnolia offers indoor seating and also features a bar.

The menu includes a combination of classic and original speciality pizzas with toppings such as White Cheezy, Deluxe, All Meat, Build-Your-Own and Pizza Bowls.

The new location in Magnolia will also serve the Pizzoli, Marco's newest handheld menu offering, and the Hot Honey Magnifico pizza for a limited time.

It also offers oven-baked subs, salads and desserts, along with creations like CheezyBread, traditional bone-in wings and boneless wings.

In July 2023, Marco’s Pizza reached an agreement with Rodrigo Azpurua and his son Enrique to open five restaurant outlets in South Florida.

The first two are planned at 811 East Commercial Boulevard and 811 North Nob Hill Road, and the remaining three are set to open by the second quarter of 2024.

Customer engagement drives metaverse investment in the foodservice sector

COVID-19 and supply chain disruptions following the Ukraine war have accelerated automation and digitalization in the foodservice sector. Home delivery services and consumer engagement through digital channels have become essential for businesses trying to stay afloat. Foodservice companies must also cope with ESG issues, the fast-changing world of work, and the global economy heading for recession and possible stagflation. The metaverse, enabled by both AR and VR, is an important tool that can help address many of the foodservice industry's key challenges.
