Fast food giant McDonald's has announced the addition of the Lotus Biscoff McFlurry, to its UK menu, Northern Echo reported.
According to McDonald's, the addition comes after several customer requests in the country and will be available from 21 June until 5 July.
The company claims to have received the requests after customers found the item on its menus in other countries.
Before launching Lotus Biscoff McFlurry, McDonald's plans to host a 'taster lunch break' on 16 June.
The event will take place at Queen’s Stone, London, where customers will be able to taste the McFlurry first, between 11:30 AM and 2PM.
From 21 June, all McDonald’s customers can go to the MyMcDonald’s Rewards app between 4PM and 5PM every Wednesday and place an order for one Lotus Biscoff McFlurry and get another for free.
This offer is valid for existing MyMcDonald’s Rewards users who have already ordered three McFlurrys in the past.
Made with a deeply caramelised biscuit swirled in soft McFlurry ice cream, Lotus Biscoff McFlurry costs £1.99.
The Daily Mail quoted McDonald’s UK and Ireland marketing head Thomas O’Neill as saying: “We’re so pleased to be launching the Lotus Biscoff McFlurry in the UK and Ireland. It’s been a long-time hope for some of our McDonald’s patrons and we’re glad we can make this into a reality.
“We take great pride in what we offer our customers and we really do listen to what they want; spending time researching and developing all the possibilities. It’s what we enjoy and it’s why I am personally proud of this new menu.”
