McDonald's India West and South (W&S), operated by franchisee Westlife Foodworld, has unveiled its latest offering, McSaver Meals, starting at a price of Rs99 ($1.2), Restaurant India has reported.
The new menu options make the brand's popular meals accessible to a broader customer base.
McSaver Meals are now available to customers across the Indian states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for Rs99, and for Rs149 in other parts of west and south India.
This redefines value for consumers by offering choices that cater to different tastes at an affordable price point.
The selection includes the McVeggie, the McChicken, the McAloo Tikki and Chicken Kebab Burgers.
McDonald’s India (W&S) chief marketing officer Arvind RP was quoted by Restaurant India as saying: “At McDonald's India (W&S), our focus has always been on creating unforgettable memories and delivering feel-good moments to our customers.
“With our new ad campaign, we wanted to showcase the irresistible value of McSaver Meals and the moments of joy and connection that our valued customers can experience while enjoying these affordable meals.
“Through initiatives like McSaver Meals, we re-affirm that McDonald's is the best value-for-money QSR [quick service restaurant] destination for anyone, at any time of the day.”
In January 2024, Westlife Foodworld announced plans to open 300 new McDonald's outlets by 2027, as reported in Business Today.
The ambitious expansion will nearly double the current store count, increasing from 357 to a projected 580 to 630 by the end of the expansion period.
During the fiscal year 2023, Westlife witnessed a 44% surge in revenue, reaching Rs22.6bn ($282m). The company has seen a record-high store opening rate and a 36% rise in same-store sales growth.
