US-based pizza restaurant chain MOD Pizza has added the Pocket Pie as a permanent item to its menu offerings.

Pocket Pie is available in three handmade, oven-fired options: Italiano, Four Cheese and Chicken Bacon Ranch.

The company noted that all three variants are handmade and individually sized with authentic, artisanal flavours.

The Pocket Pies are also made with the brand's signature pizza dough and filled with fresh ingredients before being oven-fired until cooked and folded.

Pocket Pie was first launched earlier this year on 14 March on Pi Day for a limited time.

MOD Pizza culinary excellence and innovation vice-president Scott Uehlein said: “Our customers made their voices heard! After overwhelming demand for a craveable, on-the-go option for lunch or dinner, the clear choice was to keep the Pocket Pie on our menu – permanently.

“As we continue our focus on menu innovation, we also will explore ways to evolve this super craveable, melty-good Pocket Pie.”

Pocket Pie is rolled out across MOD 540 plus locations in the US and Canada and is available for dine-in, take-out and delivery on the MOD App.

Earlier this month, MOD Pizza announced that it will relaunch its Pumpkin Spice No Name Cake for a limited period in the US.

The seasonal addition is a sweet pumpkin cake with a spiced cream filling, topped with white chocolate.

Beginning on 25 September, the Pumpkin Spice No Name Cake will be available until 12 November 2023.
