Coffee pod-making company Nespresso has expanded its retail footprint with the opening of its first boutique in Halifax, in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia.
It is situated on level 3 of the Halifax Shopping Centre, and follows the success of a pop-up on the same site.
The boutique provides a comprehensive coffee experience with a variety of coffee machines, capsules and accessories.
The Halifax boutique will enhance the customer experience with coffee workshops, tastings of coffee and caffeinated recipes.
For added convenience, customers can collect their online orders directly from the order pickup counter.
Nespresso Canada president Carlos Oyanguren said: “With our presence from coast to coast, we were committed to connect Nespresso further with Nova Scotia coffee lovers, and we considered it important to enhance the experience in Halifax.
“Our team now looks forward to welcoming our customers in a completely renewed environment at the Halifax Shopping Centre.”
The new boutique will also feature a dedicated recycling corner.
Nespresso recently launched its first on-the-go coffee bar in London, UK, The Times has reported.
Located on Old Broad Street near Liverpool Street train station, the coffee bar opened on 21 March 2024.
The move comes after Nespresso closed two coffee shops in London in 2019, redirecting its strategy towards boutique retail outlets.
The pricing of a latte at around £4.15 is competitive with coffee chains such as Starbucks and is slightly less than Costa Coffee.
