NextGen Food Robotics has developed and integrated its proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) app, Lilly, with a restaurant point of sale (POS) application programming interface (API) in the US.

Lilly is an AI-powered tech that uses technology to offer users a personalised and efficient food ordering experience.

The app features an advanced search engine that gathers millions of restaurants across the US, ensuring the delivery of accurate point-of-interest data.

It is also designed to gather information from grocery stores.

In a statement, NextGen said: “This collaboration marks a significant milestone for NextGen as it expands its capabilities in the food industry and enhances the user experience of its innovative AI-powered application.

“At the forefront of Lilly's capabilities, upon completing this API integration, Lilly will have the ability to search for food across over one million stores and access more than one billion products.

“This unparalleled reach enables users to explore a vast database of options, offering convenience and choice.”

The tech company explained that the API will allow the app to provide users with the availability of the product and prices in real time. It will also provide customisations and modifiers for each menu item.

NextGen said that Lilly is also integrated with more than 30,000 third-party delivery services, as well as courier services and stores with their own drivers, thereby giving the users a convenient service available and enhancing the overall food ordering experience.
