Panda Inn, a restaurant that served as the foundation for Panda Restaurant Group, has re-opened its newly renovated Pasadena location in California, US.
The revamped restaurant, situated at 3488 Foothill Boulevard, now features a new sushi bar, which showcases a selection of delicacies inspired by Japanese cuisine, featuring dishes such as oysters on the half shell with yuzu foam, seared A5 wagyu tataki and king salmon carpaccio.
The restaurant also features garden patio seating for al fresco dining.
The redesigned location also includes private dining rooms which can accommodate larger groups of guests.
The Pasadena establishment was founded in 1973 by Andrew Cherng and his father, master chef Ming-Tsai Cherng.
Panda Inn's updated menu features a mix of long-time favourites and new, regionally-inspired homestyle dishes that pay homage to Ming-Tsai Cherng's culinary heritage.
The restaurant offers dishes such as Honey Walnut Shrimp, Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken, Panda Beef, Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice, Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, Yangzhou Lion's Head Meatballs, Yangzhou Shredded Tofu and an extensive sushi menu.
Panda Restaurant Group co-founder and CEO Andrew Cherng said: “Panda Inn is a living tribute to my family, honouring the legacy of my father and those who came before us.
“With this reopening, we begin a new chapter that celebrates not only our heritage but also how the community has embraced us. It's a renewed opportunity to share the flavours and values that have defined Panda Inn from the start.”
