Paytronix enhances online ordering with new functionalities

The enhancements assist restaurants and convenience stores in managing high volumes of online orders.

Paytronix has announced the launch of new functionalities Additive Lead Times for its order throttling within Paytronix Online Ordering.

The enhancements assist restaurants and convenience stores in managing high volumes of online orders by setting specific parameters around order timing, limits and capacity.

They provide flexibility at universal, regional or store-specific levels.

For direct orders, guests can now view a brand's order demand capacity, providing clarity on expected readiness.

This transparency is not available for third-party app users. However, brands can still manage these orders within their capacity settings.

Paytronix Online Ordering vice-president Tim Ridgely said: “Additive (Lead Times) helps brands manage the increasing amount of business generated by online orders.

“By ensuring that orders are distributed more evenly, throttling helps prevent kitchens from being inundated with orders all at once while simultaneously setting guest expectations as to when their orders will be ready.”

Paytronix has enhanced several aspects with Additive Lead Times.

These include multiple timing constraints such as prep time and ASAP lead time limit, category-specific timing, additional time per item and thresholds based on order size.

Adjustable production times and limits on the number of orders are also part of the new limits feature.

Capacity management allows brands to specify how many items can be produced in 15-minute intervals in the kitchen or for category-specific items such as pizzas.

The first-party delivery time feature enables brands to set delivery timings based on zones, zip codes and factors like day or time.

These parameters are fully adjustable per restaurant, allowing individual outlets to tailor lead times based on their unique capacities and kitchen sizes.

Brands with online ordering can easily activate or deactivate these new features with a simple click in their settings.

Paytronix plans to further refine these tools throughout 2024 and into 2025.

PepperJax Grill recently implemented the full Paytronix platform to customise the digital guest experience.
