Japanese experiential fast-casual restaurant chain Pepper Lunch has unveiled a significant expansion into the US Pacific Northwest with a development agreement to introduce its brand to the state of Oregon.
The agreement involves the opening of five new locations across the state, a notable step in the company's growth trajectory.
The deal was signed with Peter T Ng, a local developer and owner of Seventh and Monroe. Ng will oversee the establishment of the Pepper Lunch presence in Oregon.
Pepper Lunch CEO Troy Hooper said: “This expansion into Oregon is a testament to the power of our concept and the incredible potential of our partners. Peter’s vision and commitment align seamlessly with our mission to bring joy and connection through our sizzling dining experience.
“Oregon is a state that values individuality and quality, and Pepper Lunch offers a dining experience that reflects those priorities.”
Pepper Lunch is known for its DIY casual dining concept, offering premium steaks, pasta, Pepper Rice and its signature dish, Cheese Curry Rice.
The restaurant invites guests to customise food with sauces, spices and toppings.
With more than 500 locations in 17 countries, Pepper Lunch is recognised for its interactive dining experience and efficient service model.
In addition to its US expansion plans, Pepper Lunch aims to open its first store in Mongolia in 2025 in a franchise agreement with Mongolian distributer Bluemon Group.
Established in 1994 in Japan, the brand has built a reputation for a distinctive service style that caters both to dine-in customers and those opting for delivery.
